Dentures are custom-made removable appliances designed to replace missing teeth and restore your smile, bite and everyday function. We offer full acrylic dentures from £875, partial acrylic dentures from £450, cobalt chrome dentures from £1,250 and flexible Sunflex dentures from £1,000. Each denture is individually made for a comfortable fit, natural appearance and improved stability.

Following an examination, we’ll explain your tooth replacement options and recommend the most suitable denture. Both NHS and private treatment options are available.

When are dentures recommended?

We may recommend dentures following a clinical assessment where there are multiple missing teeth or complete tooth loss, and a removable solution is appropriate. Dentures can help restore chewing ability, speech and overall oral health, depending on your individual needs.

Are dentures suitable for me?

Dentures are suitable for many patients, but this depends on your oral health, gum condition and remaining teeth. During your consultation, we assess whether dentures are the most appropriate tooth replacement option, or if alternative treatments may be more suitable.

What happens during a denture appointment?

Your appointment will begin with a clinical examination, and where required dental X-rays, to assess your oral health. We then take impressions or measurements to ensure your dentures are accurately made for fit, comfort and function.

Once ready, your dentures are fitted and adjusted to ensure a secure and comfortable fit, with guidance provided on aftercare and daily use.

Getting Used to New Dentures

It can take a little time to get used to new dentures. Eating, speaking and the way your mouth feels may be different at first.

As you become accustomed to them, everyday activities should become more comfortable.

If your dentures feel uncomfortable or do not fit as expected, speak to your dental team. An adjustment may be needed.

How much do dentures cost?

The cost of dentures depends on the type of denture, number of teeth being replaced and the overall design required. Following a clinical assessment, we provide a clear treatment plan with confirmed costs based on your individual needs.

Our denture fees include:

Full Acrylic Dentures (single arch) – from £875
Full Acrylic Dentures (upper and lower arches) – from £1,600
Partial Acrylic Denture – £450 to £725, depending on the number of teeth
Upper and Lower Acrylic Dentures – from £1,100
Cobalt Chrome Dentures – from £1,250
Flexible (Sunflex) Dentures – from £1,000

The final cost will depend on your oral health, number of missing teeth and the type of denture recommended. We will explain all options clearly so you can make an informed decision about your tooth replacement treatment.

Will I be able to eat normally with dentures?

Yes, although it may take some time to adjust. Patients are usually advised to start with softer foods and gradually return to a normal diet as confidence improves. Dentures are designed to restore chewing ability and bite function.

Will dentures feel comfortable and natural?

Dentures are designed to fit securely and support your bite, but it can take a short time to adjust. Most patients become comfortable as the mouth adapts, and dentures are made to restore a natural appearance and everyday function.

Will my dentures move or become loose?

Over time, changes in your gums and jaw can affect the fit, which may cause dentures to feel loose. If this happens, we can assess the fit and make adjustments where needed to help maintain comfort, stability and function.

How long does it take to get dentures?
