Visit your nearest clinic for expert assessment and personalised treatment. We regularly welcome patients from Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Baldock, Biggleswade, Sandy, Royston, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
We provide NHS and private tooth extractions, including simple tooth extractions from £250, surgical tooth extractions from £375 and wisdom tooth extractions from £425. Our experienced dentists carry out every procedure with a focus on your comfort, safety and long-term oral health.
Our priority is always to preserve your natural teeth wherever possible. However, when an extraction is the most appropriate treatment, we’ll explain your options, ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible and provide clear aftercare advice to support a smooth recovery. We also offer additional support for nervous patients, including IV sedation where suitable.
The type of extraction required depends on the position of the tooth, its condition, and findings from your clinical assessment.
A simple extraction is usually suitable when the tooth is fully visible and can be removed using standard dental techniques. A surgical extraction may be recommended where the tooth is less accessible, broken at the gum line, partially erupted or impacted.
A tooth extraction may be required when a tooth cannot be restored or is affecting surrounding teeth and gums.
Common reasons include:
Following a clinical assessment, and where required dental X-rays, your dentist will explain the findings and discuss appropriate treatment options, including whether extraction is necessary.
An urgent dental appointment may be recommended if you have tooth pain, swelling, infection, or trauma affecting a tooth.
Wisdom teeth may be assessed if you experience dental pain, swelling, gum inflammation, or difficulty maintaining oral hygiene, or where concerns are identified during a routine examination.
Based on your assessment, and where required dental X-rays, your dentist will evaluate the position of the tooth and advise whether monitoring or wisdom tooth removal is appropriate for your oral health.
Suitable for teeth that can be removed safely using local anaesthetic and standard extraction techniques.
Required where a tooth is broken below the gum line, difficult to access or requires a more complex surgical approach.
We assess impacted, partially erupted and problematic wisdom teeth that are causing pain, infection, swelling or damage to neighbouring teeth, recommending removal where clinically appropriate.
We carry out a clinical examination and may take dental X-rays if required to assess your tooth and confirm the most appropriate treatment.
We explain whether monitoring or extraction is recommended, along with your treatment options and costs.
If treatment proceeds, we use local anaesthetic to numb the area before removing the tooth. You will be given clear aftercare advice to support healing.
Most patients recover well following tooth extraction or wisdom tooth removal. Some tenderness, swelling or mild discomfort is normal during the first few days and usually improves as the area heals.
We’ll provide personalised aftercare advice, including how to control bleeding, maintain good oral hygiene, choose suitable foods and recognise when you should contact the practice. Once healing is complete, we’ll also discuss tooth replacement options, including dental implants, bridges or dentures where appropriate.
We understand dental anxiety is common, especially when a tooth needs removing. Our team provides calm, supportive care, taking the time to help you feel at ease throughout your treatment.
Our friendly dental team brings extensive experience and a genuine passion for patient care. We focus on making every visit comfortable, informative and tailored to your individual needs.
All our dentists are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and adhere to the standards governing the profession as set out in the GDC’s Standards for the Dental Team.
